About Dan Gould Jewelers
Dan
has been involved in the jewelry business since he
was just a child. Dan is the son of five generations
of jewelers- the oldest family of jewelers in the
state of Minnesota. His great-great-great grandfather
started the jewelry store in Glencoe Minnesota in
1878. This is where Dan learned about the importance
of exceptional customer service, the art of jewelry
design, and the skills of the trade from his grandfather
William N. Gould, and his father William B. Gould.
Dan later went to the Minneapolis Technical College
to become a goldsmith and received a degree in jewelry
design. He then went to the Gemological Institute
of America in California to become a Certified Graduate
Gemologist. It was in California that Dan became
certified to grade diamonds, gems and to appraise
jewelry.
Since then, Dan has worked as a jeweler
in Anoka, Minnesota for 14 years. Dan always wanted
to run his own jewelry business, as his fore fathers
had encouraged, and recently made that dream a reality.
Dan feels that the “small town” atmosphere
and close-knit community of Anoka has always felt
like home and was a perfect place to start a business
with the same values and traditions of his ancestors
and father.
He enjoys serving the community as well
as being an active member in several Anoka area
organizations. He is currently a member of the Anoka
Rotary, and was recently appointed to the City’s
Economic Development Commission of Anoka. Dan looks
forward to many more years of serving the community
and being a part of his customers’ lives through
the jewelry business.
